Karin is the Chief Executive Officer for Insights at Kantar in South Africa, which covers both the Kantar Millward Brown and Kantar TNS brands. An inspirational business leader, Karin has over 25 years of experience in driving marketing and communications that deliver business results. She is passionate about her clients, and focuses on helping them harness the power of digital and mobile to achieve better insights, and turn these insights into business opportunities.
Karin recently returned from a three year stint in Turkey where she served as Chief Client Officer for Insights Africa & Middle East, and was responsible for leading global and regional client relationships and supporting them in their growth activities in the region, and was actively involved in business development for many multinationals. Karin was instrumental in building the multi-country Media Return Path Data Audience measurement capabilities for PayTV operator DStv.
Karin is a longstanding ESOMAR Member in Africa and was the Large Companies representative on the board of the South African Marketing Research Association (SAMRA). Karin graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in marketing and finance. On a personal note, she is a real adventurer and is passionate about meeting new people, cultures and markets. Living in Istanbul taught her a lot about new ways of looking at issues and was a wonderful growth experience.
