Holiday attitudes 2013 newsNews

Over the last three years there has been a number of changes in the holiday patterns of British travellers, with an increase in the number of domestic holidays being taken within Britain. There are also fewer travellers choosing long-haul destinations and, with the relative strength of the pound vis-a-vis the Euro in the last 12 months, European destinations have once again become attractive options for holidays and short breaks.

As the market leader in travel, tourism and leisure research, TNS has its finger on the pulse of what travellers are doing or considering. We conduct research for UK and international tourism and travel bodies, as well as for leading tour operators, airlines, hotel groups, leisure operators and train companies. We recently carried out a special programme of research to provide exclusive consumer data for the Travel Weekly Insight Annual Report.
