Sydney, 14 November 2007– With the advent of a new Managing Director for Australia, research agency TNS is ensuring its position as a major player in the ANZ research space.
TNS in New Zealand merged with Conversa Global in July, enabling the largest research consultancy business in New Zealand. Now, TNS Conversa and TNS Australia are forging bonds even further.
Regional Managing Director for TNS Oceania, Chris Riquier, has placed Tania Kullmann as the Managing Director for Australia, effective 1 January 2008.
“Tania’s promotion from General Manager of TNS Sydney to Australian MD is a huge coup for TNS. Tania’s experience and leadership have been evident for a long time and she has a lot to add to building the Australian business.
“With Tania in place as MD of Australia and Michael Lucas in New Zealand as MD, I will now be concentrating on collaboration across the Oceania region,” said Mr Riquier.
Other management changes enabling knowledge sharing include the promotion of Jacqui von Hirschberg from National Director to ANZ Director of Consumer – one of TNS’ largest research sectors.
“Both TNS in Australia and TNS Conversa have innovations and experience that can benefit the other. Opening up cross-Tasman management strategies will enable this knowledge sharing to flow, as well as consolidate our offering to clients,” said Mr Riquier. “Many of our operations divisions have already been consolidated and also help to open up communication channels between the six offices.”
