ESOMAR holds a major market research conference in Latin America every two years. This year the conference will take place in Mexico City between May 12 and 14 and TNS will be its main sponsor.
Constanza Cilley, Head of Research and Client Services at TNS Argentina, will be the opening speaker of the congress, presenting her paper ‘No Latin Love’ that looks at Latin America’s ambiguous attitude towards globalization. The presentation is based on four surveys conducted by TNS in Latin America: Voice of the People, World Value Survey, Wellbeing and Kids Power. The analysis highlights the economical, political and cultural effects of globalization in the region.
Wander Meijer, TNS Regional Director for Latin America, will also be present at the event, participating on the Future Visions panel to discuss how the market research industry is developing in the region. In addition, a team of TNS experts from a variety of practice areas, such as Retail & Shopper Insights, Interactive Research, and TNS’s Finance sector and Consumer sector, will speak at the conference.
Wander Meijer comments: “The market for market research has expanded at double-digit rates in recent years in Latin America, reflecting the strong economic growth of the region. Latin America is becoming increasingly important for the world’s economy and, as a result, it has a growing importance for TNS. As a global company, we have been investing heavily in the region. TNS already has offices in 10 Latin American countries and operates its consumer purchase panel LatinPanel in 15 countries. Our sponsorship of the ESOMAR Conference in Mexico, along with our strong delegation, underlines the increasing importance of Latin America and Mexico in particular for TNS. We very much look forward to the forthcoming ESOMAR event.”
