TNS Media Research secures five year renewal for Skyview

    London, November 30 2009 – TNS Media Research, the world leader in audience measurement, has today announced a 5-year renewal of its partnership with BSkyB for the provision of Sky’s bespoke audience measurement panel, SkyView. TNS Media Research has been running the SkyView service for Sky since 2005, the world’s first commercial audience measurement service to use set-top box data collection and return path technology.

    The innovative service allows Sky to better understand its subscriber’s preferences and adds value to its business through more precise insight into actual customer behaviour. Information reported from the service enables Sky to understand how subscribers are using their digital services including how much programming is time-shifted through Sky+, how demand is growing for high definition programming, how customers are interacting through the ‘red button’, and the increasing uptake of Sky’s Video on Demand services.
