We are now looking for a Director to lead our Consumer Sector for our Hong Kong office.

    We are now looking for a Director to lead our Consumer Sector for our Hong Kong office.

    The responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage the consumer research unit with over 20 staff in Hong Kong, overseeing local and regional research programs for key global consumer goods clients
    • Full P&L responsibility for the sector, which will include managing budgets and resourcing
    • Anticipate and identify emerging business issues and opportunities
    • Develop and grow client relationships into partnerships and key accounts
    • Maintain effective business/partnership relationships with key international and regional clients and functional areas
    • Utilize proprietary TNS business solutions to realize the maximum advantage
    • Provide expert advice to clients on business strategy and planning
    • Deliver insightful recommendations based on premium research and powerful creative ideas
    • Ensure staff retention and development
    • Direct the team’s efforts in the most effective use of analytic processes and research methodologies to address clients’ business issues
    • Develop the team’s knowledge and coach them in the use of analytical skills to conduct high quality research

    The prerequisites:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, or a professional degree
    • At least 15 years market research experience
    • Demonstrate management experience, covering both staff and commercial management
    • Excellent skills in customized research and consumer industry metrics is required; in addition to the command of data caveats, sources and applications
    • Strong leadership, good people skills, excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Experienced in managing and leading multi-national projects with highly complexity; especially business and senior management
    • Competent to present research findings to senior audiences professionally
    • Desire to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced, and changing environment
    • Attentive to details and showing strategic insights in the delivery of research findings
